A Road Kill Roundup at the Buzzard’s Roost

Michel de Montaigne French Renaissance Philosopher and Aristocrat

We begin with a surprising proverb from the staid and proper Japanese, “Everybody looks the same in the bath house.”  We follow with a quote from the always irreverent and sometimes scatological Michel de Montaigne who in his wry way commented, “Kings and philosophers shit, and so do ladies. Even on the highest throne in the world, we are seated still upon our arses.”  To the foregoing we add from Senator John McCain, “In the real world, as lived and experienced by real people, the demand for human rights and dignity, the longing for liberty and justice and opportunity, the hatred of oppression and corruption and cruelty is reality.”

In other words, we long to achieve …  in so many poignantly coveted yet too often sadly disappointing ways … the hoped for “reality” that we are equals under the Rule of Law in The United States of America.

Compare and contrast the foregoing attitudes about equality with the damage that the Deep State Goodfellas from the Swamp inflict as they willfully and wantonly subvert the Rule of Law … subvert with arrogance and impunity at every juncture.

According to American author, philosopher and pundit Nicholas Butler, “America is the best half-educated country in the world.” So what is it that we half-educated citizens have learned about justice and the Rule of Law during our short residence in this land of eternal promise?  Have we gained educated understandings or mere emotions, notions, and impressions?

We suggest that we’ve but mere emotions, notions, and impressions about the Rule of Law, mere emotions, notions, and impressions about the Deep State, mere emotions, notions, and impressions about the Swamp, and mere emotions, notions, and impressions about the Goodfellas who plague us.  Woven into the warp and woof of the fabric of our innermost fibers, these mere emotions, notions, and impressions only serve to haunt and plague and remind us that an educated understanding of liberty, equality, justice, and fraternity should be more.  We hope for more than “mere.”  We hope for complete honesty, fidelity, and integrity among those who purport to represent and lead us.  Yet, are we prepared as agents for change to rant intelligently and act with power, clarity, and verity in educated and informed ways?

BuzzardIn the event that their past catches up with their present, we will be roosting over the Goodfellas to connect with, to snatch up, to round-up, and to re-broadcast the roadkill they have left scattered about.  So full of themselves, so careless, and so cavalier … they’ve become shamefully stupid, shamefully salacious, shamefully self-serving, shamefully sinister, shamefully corrupt, and shamefully sanctimonious. All-the-while they’ve left ample evidence of their presence and conduct in a wake of effluent and carnage strewn across the Nation and around the Globe.

So who and what to believe?  As for our readers, here is a quote that we like, “Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, unless your own reason and your own common sense agree.” Gautama Buddha (This quotation is a paraphrase of the original.)  We add that for us the paths to truth are found and followed by way of the synthesis and amalgamation of reason, feeling, and intellect.  These may become powerfully intimate and personal paths and truths.

But … typically along the way … truth flees like fickle sunbeams slipping and sliding through the ever darkening and overshadowing clouds of Cognitive Dissonance and Distortion, Psychological Warfare, Propaganda, Perception Management, Mind Manipulation, and Destabilization. So, if any one of the triumvirate of reason, feeling, and intellect is absent, we don’t trust that a particular path is true enough for us to take, and as well, may not be true enough for you.
