At Yokota Air Force Base in Japan in the 1950s, our friend and fellow Airman Clyde was having a difficult time with bomber aircrew qualification because he couldn’t pass the required Morse Code receiving test.

John Grimes and I checked out a book about hypnosis from the Base Library, practiced on each other and then hypnotized Ole’ Clyde.  We planted some rather amusing post hypnotic suggestions … bark like a dog and hop like a frog … that delighted us and the guys in the chow hall but rendered poor Clyde speechless when he learned of his performance.  In the process, Clyde passed his code test.  However, he never seemed quite the same again. He could copy Morse Code with the best of us but devolved to become a rather unusual social fellow.

Today I “muse” over MKUltra a CIA mind manipulation and brainwashing program from days gone by and what may well have resulted from the research and experiments thereafter.  Even after it was shut down by the Congress, I believe in my heart of hearts that it was just buried in an Agency (CIA) budget, line item that nobody ever questioned again and has survived in unimaginably sinister feature and form.

Building on a personal paranoia rightfully earned from decades of over exposure to the vagaries and vicissitudes of the intelligence community, I think of how convincing Ford was in her testimony. I believe that she believes herself.   More musings, I’ve actually come to trust these worn out zaps and synapses in my ole’ brain (perhaps something to do with John Grimes practicing hypnosis on me also) and ponder the PSYOPS and Intel resources that the Leftists have had at their disposal for these many decades.  It’s actually (for me) a no brainer to cogitate that Ford believes herself because … using the term that best applies but has been historically minimized and frazzled … she has been or has allowed herself to become BRAINWASHED!

Pretty spooky stuff upon which witches were burned and Birchers were banned and whisperers stopped whispering until most recently “they” … with the likes of Alex Jones and a host of wing nuts leading the way … all began whining, woofing and barking about the Swamp and the Deep State.

Now “Swamp” and “Deep State” are fashionable, so why not bring back “BRAINWASHING“?
