Rights gave Ivory “The French Army Award”
How did Utah’s supposed “gun rights champions” fare? So poorly, they each amply deserve The French Army Award for meritorious disservice in leading from the rear. Here are this year’s recipients, in order of embarrassment (i.e. from abysmal to more abysmal):
- Brian Greene: house district 57: -0%
- Ken Ivory, house district 47: -20%
- Curtis Oda, house district 14: -67%
- Mark Madsen, senate district 13: -71%
With French commandos like these, who needs enemies? As U.S. General George S. Patton allegedly put it: “I’d rather have a division of Germans in front of me, than a French one behind me.“
In keeping with Sir Ivory’s shameful, courtier-like behavior and Patton’s wry comment, The Ole’ Buzzard hereby beknights Ivory with the First, Infamous (just now), French Army, Pusillanimous Pup Award!
In sum, the foregoing demands the following from Thomas Paine who described our “Goodfellas” as he complained of the “Courts and Courtiers” of his time …
“He writes neither in the character of a Frenchman nor an Englishman, but in the fawning character of that creature known in all countries, and a friend to none – a courtier. Whether it be the Court of Versailles, or the Court of St. James, or Carlton-House, or the Court in expectation, signifies not; for the caterpillar principle of all Courts and Courtiers are alike. They form a common policy throughout Europe, detached and separate from the interest of Nations: and while they appear to quarrel, they agree to plunder. Nothing can be more terrible to a Court or Courtier than the Revolution of France. That which is a blessing to Nations is bitterness to them: and as their existence depends on the duplicity of a country, they tremble at the approach of principles, and dread the precedent that threatens their overthrow.” – Thomas Paine, The Rights of Man, http://www.ushistory.org/paine/rights/c1-024.htm
“But there is a truth that ought to be made known; I have had the opportunity of seeing it; which is, that notwithstanding appearances, there is not any description of men that despise monarchy so much as courtiers. But they well know, that if it were seen by others, as it is seen by them, the juggle could not be kept up; they are in the condition of men who get their living by a show, and to whom the folly of that show is so familiar that they ridicule it; but were the audience to be made as wise in this respect as themselves, there would be an end to the show and the profits with it. The difference between a republican and a courtier with respect to monarchy, is that the one opposes monarchy, believing it to be something; and the other laughs at it, knowing it to be nothing.” – Thomas Paine, The Rights of Man, http://www.ushistory.org/paine/rights/c1-017.htm
“But these new chiefs acted as if they thought society had nothing more at heart than to maintain courtiers, pensioners, and all their train, under the contemptible title of royalty.” – Thomas Paine, Agrarian Justice, http://www.ushistory.org/paine/rights/c1-017.htm
Utah’s Oligarchy …
… and this “Pretty Great State” are replete with Goodfellas and unfortunately, uniquely and justifiably identified as the “Fraud Capital” of the Nation failing woefully in the following categories: “F” political financing; “F” Executive Accountability; “F” Judicial Accountability; “F” State Civil Service Management; “F” State Pension Fund Management … “Click Here.”
Utah’s Goodfellas Described
All Goodfellas, not just Utah’s, are wannabe, oligarch pretenders … an unimpeded petite power elite enjoying a bottomless cornucopia of spoils … an aberrant, arrogant progeny of a fractured social and political system. They are conceived, nurtured and operate far removed from the original intent of the Framers and Founders. They have subverted the Rule of Law and ravaged Benjamin Franklin’s vision and proposition that we could enjoy a “Republic if we could keep it.” The Goodfellas have infiltrated, permeated, and presumed the right to manipulate every aspect of business, military, industry, finance, education, entertainment, law, and religion. And … as a result of their control over financing our election processes and our own history of slavish submission, We the People are relegated to choosing between the horrible and the despicable at the ballot box. Finally, were it not for political interference, influence, compromise, and corruption, many of Utah’s Goodfellas who have subverted and perverted the Rule of Law and Good Governance would now be in jail where they belong.
